About Sue Westendorf
Sue Westendorf is the Executive Director of the Ohio-based school choice advocacy coalition My School, My Choice, and the author of this blog.
Westendorf has a distinguished background on education issues. Prior to joining My School, My Choice, she served on the Ohio State Board of Education for more than a decade, where she was one of Ohio’s earliest advocates for giving more choices for parents of Ohio school children.
Westendorf also has experience in economic development and transportation consulting. She worked as CEO of the Napoleon/Henry County Chamber of Commerce for 18 years, leading economic development efforts which brought in new jobs, while maintaining the existing businesses and jobs in the county. Always interested in giving back to her community, Westendorf was one of the founders of the Henry County Community Foundation and was co-chair of the Fort to Port Improvement Organization.
